Smoking Meat 101

April 30th

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to make slow-cooked, Texas-style BBQ with great bark and a little bite, this workshop is for you. Backyard BBQ enthusiast Ben Callahan will walk you through all the basics in this four-hour class. From finding great meat to tending the fire on an offset smoker, you’ll leave with a solid understanding of the necessary steps to perfecting brisket and pulled pork. You’ll get to help tend the fire and see firsthand all of the steps of the process—including the best part, our very own smoked meat meal after the class.

Natural Easter Egg Dying

In this class we’ll explore using plant dyes to naturally color eggs just in time for Easter. We’ll experiment with food scraps, herbs, spices, and more! You’ll go home with a dozen hard boiled eggs custom dyed by you. Additionally, you’ll have all the knowledge to keep dying at home and may never look at the produce aisle the same way again!
